Chief, I met up with Diego in Kazhakstan as Rodrigo Diez was last seen in here. We are disguising ourselves as drug dealers to find out his where abouts. But before that, I will give my report on the movie searching task you gave me.
The first movie I would like to talk about is 'Shrooms'. I would put this movie into one word, gruesome. When one watches this film, they would feel absolutely disgusted on how psilocybin mushrooms can devastate lives of many people. A character called Tara murders several people under the influence of psilocybin mushrooms, without even knowing that she did it. This movie has some elements that are fictional, but it still conveys a clear message that, when one uses drugs, they are not only damaging themselves but others too.
The Trailer is available here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLgqnWh0_O8
Another movie that I would like to talk about is 'Detroit Rock City'. This movie is suprisingly a comedy that isn't centered around the use of drugs. However, the reason I used this movie as an example is because it shows how the media strongly influences people to use drugs. This movie is centered around a group of goofy teenage boys that want to see a band called 'KISS' perform. To escape their catholic boarding school, they intoxicate the priest by putting psilocybin mushrooms on his pizza. This scene is used to convey the message that the boys using drugs on other people were a 'good' and heroic act. This sort of media propaganda happens everytime we turn the T.V on or even watch movies. Certainly, the incorrect factual display of drugs is one of the reasons the population of drug addicts are increasing.
