Various effects of psilocybin mushrooms

Diego has returned! he paged me 10minutes ago regarding his investigation. He disguised himself as a drug user and hid into a drug using community of Kalimantan. Apparently psilocybin mushrooms also seems to be used there. Diego dug out some information out of short term users, long term users of psilocybin mushrooms. He also interviewed people who quit psilocybin mushrooms to gather crucial information. I'm currently uploading my data, furthur progress in our exploration will be reported immedietly.



A) short term effects

The effects are often pleasant, even ecstatic, including a deep sense of connection to others, and a general feeling of connection to nature and the universe. Psilocybin mushrooms also act on a person's sensory abilities, causing visual imageryand auditory effects. It also causes panic states, erotic arousals and beatific states. Intelluctually, it makes a person develop confused and introspective thinkings, mental clarity and even transcendent insights.



B) long term effects

When taken psilocybin mushrooms for a long period of time, mental and physical tolerance to psilocybin builds and dissipates quickly. Taking psilocybin more than three or four times in a week (especially two days in a row) can result in diminished effects and a less enjoyable experience. Tolerance dissipates after a few days, so frequent users often keep doses spaced 5-7 days apart to avoid the effect.



C) side effects

When a person develops unwanted effects after the consumption of psilocybin mushrooms, it is called a 'bad trip'. This especially happens when they are taken with other drugs, in huge doses, during times of mental instability, or by people with psychoemotional problems. In such situations, "bad trips" are much more likely to occur. Anxiety, frightening hallucinations, confronting past or deep-seated internal conflicts, and feelings of permanent disconnection from reality and the Self can be quite intense and cause panic.

Psilocybin mushrooms will not create withdrawal effects as it is not a physically addictive drug. Some may experience boredom after having a recreational activity taken away, but thats as bad as it can get. This is the reason why most psilocybin mushroom users are reacreational users.
