Chief,
As the plane almost arrives at Miami, I think about the power of listening. Everyone has something to say about others, it could be a conversation or a joke. But most importantly it could be confessions about one's deep feelings. We accuse drug users for their reliance on drugs when it comes to psychological issues. What if they chose to relieve themselves through drugs because no one cared to listen to their problems? In fact, I think this is why people tend to use drugs as a way to relax them and free them from stress. In a busy world like nowadays, it is very difficult to engage in a deep conversation where one asks for advice and discusses about personal issues. Therefore it is essential for one to always be prepare to hear what others are willing to tell them. It is also important that one gives feedback, for example advices, when others tell personal stories to them. These are what I consider, to be essential qualities of a good listener
